Before becoming a writer, I was a military news writer, teacher of the hearing impaired, instructional designer for business, and, of course, a writer of fiction. I’m the author of The Misadventures of Fragger Sparks science fiction four-book series, and the “tweens” fantasy for horse lovers, The Merryvale Adventures. I’m also a self-taught cartoonist, an amusement I use as a break from writing.
In the nonfiction realm, I have written on subjects ranging from bonds to (I kid you not!) urinalysis machines to worm chow to zoo ungulate chow! Of course, all these subjects provide excellent resources for writing fiction.
In the future, I see a mystery in which the murder weapon is a malfunctioning urinalysis machine…I’ll leave it to you to come up with the requisite jokes for this topic. After all, this is my biography, and I have to remain serious!
